Senior Platform / DevOps Engineer (Symfony / Ansible)

About the role

Cloudpepper operates infrastructure for over 10,000 Odoo instances globally. This role sits at the intersection of platform engineering and production operations — the same person designs the Ansible automation that provisions servers, ships features in the Symfony control plane, and helps debug what’s happening when something breaks at 3am.

You’ll work directly with the founders on architecture decisions and own meaningful pieces of the platform end to end.

What you’ll work on

• Design and maintain Ansible automation for provisioning, deployment, scaling, backups, and restores
• Manage Linux production infrastructure — performance tuning, scaling, failover, replication
• Develop features in the Symfony-based control plane
• Handle escalated production incidents
• Collaborate directly with the founders on architecture decisions

What we’re looking for

• Platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure-heavy backend experience
• Deep PHP/Symfony expertise
• Production-level Linux administration
• Ansible and infrastructure automation
• PostgreSQL and Nginx performance tuning
• CI/CD pipelines
• Python for tooling
• Cross-layer debugging across application, database, and infrastructure
• Strong written communication — documentation, incident analysis, RFCs
• Bonus: Go and Odoo familiarity
