PostgreSQL ships with conservative defaults that ignore the machine it runs on. On a busy Odoo database, that leaves performance on the table. Auto-Tune reads your server’s CPU, RAM, and disk and writes PostgreSQL settings sized for it — no manual postgresql.conf editing, no guesswork.

What it does

• Sizes to your server. Shared buffers, work memory, effective cache, and connection limits are calculated from your actual resources, not a one-size-fits-all template.
• Scales with the big tiers. It tunes the same way on a small production server and on the largest Dedicated Performance configurations — up to 80 vCPU and 512 GB RAM.
• Odoo-aware. The targets are set for Odoo’s worker-heavy, database-heavy workload, not a generic web app.
• One button. Click Auto-Tune and Cloudpepper applies the new configuration for you.

When to use it

Run it after you resize a server, after a large data import, or any time Odoo feels slower than the hardware should allow.
