SSL Certificate not configured (Not Secure warning)
If your Odoo instance is showing a “Not Secure” warning in the browser, it means the SSL certificate is not properly configured. This typically happens when the DNS was not fully propagated at the time your instance was created on the Cloudpepper dashboard. In such cases, the system may have failed to retrieve the correct A record or detected an incorrect IP address.

Section titled “How to Regenerate the SSL Certificate”To fix this issue, follow these steps to regenerate the SSL certificate:
- Open your instance on your Cloudpepper dashboard.
- Next to your domain name, click the ⚙️ cog icon to open your domain name settings.
- Re-save the domain name without making any changes.
- Simply clicking Save will trigger the regeneration of the SSL certificate.
Ensure Your DNS is Correctly Set
Section titled “Ensure Your DNS is Correctly Set”Before regenerating the SSL certificate, confirm that your DNS settings are correctly configured for your Odoo instance:
✅ There should be only one A record pointing to the IP address of your provisioned server.
🚫 There should be no other conflicting records, such as additional A records, CNAME, or AAAA records for the same domain.
🔍 You can verify your DNS settings using: https://www.nslookup.io/
- Check that only one A record exists and that it correctly matches your server’s IP address.
By ensuring your DNS settings are correct and re-saving the domain, your SSL certificate should regenerate successfully.
